SK Licenssvets Frölunda AB is a family-owned company with an outstanding expertise in welding and pipe installations. With operations across Sweden and internationally, it serves leading mid-sized and large businesses in the energy, utilities, and construction sectors. The company was founded in 1989 by Jarmo Suopanki in Västra Frölunda near Gothenburg.
His vision was to achieve excellence in licensed welding and steel construction. Jarmo’s eldest son Christian took over as CEO in 2014, continuing to lead the company on its way of steady growth.
Sending large-scale project documents with ease
–Six or seven years ago, a client told me: I’ll sprend it over to you. That’s how I first heard about Sprend. We started with the free plan and then subscribed to Sprend for Teams. We have been using it ever since, said Dennis Suopanki, the company’s IT & Project Manager and Christian’s younger brother.

Download notifications and storage time
When you send files via Sprend, you never have to wonder if your recipients have received them. Sprend sends automatic email notifications, so you can rest assured and track your files easily. –It is a very helpful feature, Dennis said.
Sprend also lets you control storage duration. Dennis usually sets it to four weeks, but he can extend it to three or six months. –Sometimes people need more time for downloads, and it is good that we can accommodate that in our business process. Adjustable storage time is especially useful when sending files to multiple recipients, he said.

It is a great tool for sprending files. And it is so easy to use.
Onboarding project managers to the service
Although they primarily use Sprend to send files, they are also interested in receiving large files via the platform. As Pro users, they can simply share a dedicated Sprend link with their customers, and start accepting incoming files up to 100 GB. Customers are not required to have a Sprend account of their own. When asked about how we can improve Sprend, Dennis mentioned that it would be useful if it integrated with Microsoft 365.

SK Licenssvets plans to have all their project managers on Sprend in the near future, in order to unify the way files are shared. – It is better to have one method, instead of many, he pointed out. With Sprend for Teams, it is easy to add and revoke licenses, and rather than receiving invoices for each licence, companies get a single invoice for their Sprend subscription.
