Moments that made us Sprend
The beginning
Released the first version of our file-transfer service (originally skickafilen.se), built on the simple belief that moving files should be effortless.
A new name
We change our domain to sprend.com. Sprend a file!
The move
Sprend.com physically moves out of the student apartment in Linköping and onto a real server at Bahnhof's datacenter in Stockholm.
The joint venture
Sprend joins forces with the other leading Swedish file-transfer service FileCentral. A joint-venture company Infoflex Transfer AB is founded, to formally run, manage, and scale the sprend.com and filetransfer.se services.
A year of transformation
We sold the FileCentral branch of the business to refine our focus. Reborn as Sprend AB, we are dedicated exclusively to evolving the Sprend platform for users worldwide.
European footprint
Reached 2,000 paying users and officially registered the Sprend EU trademark.
Going global
Expanded our horizons beyond Sweden, beginning our transition into a dynamic, decentralized company by partnering with elite international tech and design talent.
Leveling up MFT
Massively upgraded our capabilities for heavy-duty industries like media and construction. We increased maximum parcel sizes to 100 GB, launched the "Receive" feature for secure two-way transfers, and enabled drag-and-drop folder uploads to bring the plain joy of usage to complex transfers.
Flexibility & strict privacy
Adapted to how professionals actually work by introducing secure share links and longer storage times. We also doubled down on our strict European GDPR compliance, ensuring every new tool we integrated met our uncompromising privacy standards.
A stronger foundation
To support our growing base of municipalities and public agencies, we partnered with our trusted European datacenter to seamlessly triple our server storage capacity.
